8:30. Mount Vernon Cemetery
Veterans form up and march into the cemetery, graves decorated by Veterans and Scouts. Prayer by the Chaplain, firing volley, and taps.
9:00. Brookside Cemetery
Veterans form up and march into the cemetery, graves decorated by Veterans and Scouts. Prayer by the Chaplain, firing volley, and taps.
9:45. Second Congregational church
Veterans meet in front of church and march in as a unit and proceed to designated pews. Veterans remain covered until colors are placed, then uncover with color bearers. At the end of the service, veterans will reverse the procedure and cover with the color bearers. Then they will follow the colors out in a single file beginning with the front pew and exit the church.
11:15 (Approximately)
Placing of wreaths at the Civil War Monument – veterans will form up in front of the church and march to Monument Hill. Raising the flag, placing of the wreath, prayer, firing squad volley, and taps.
Monday May 25, 2026:
7:30. Harmony Cemetery – Ipswich Road near Kelsey Road
Veterans form up and march into the cemetery, graves decorated by Veterans and Scouts. Prayer by the chaplain, firing volley, and taps.
8:00. Round Top (Curtis Guild Camp)
Veterans will gather at the campsite to remember those who trained for military duty at this historic location. Placing of a flag and a remembrance prayer by the Chaplain, taps played.
8:30. Ancient Cemetary
Placing of the flag, prayer, firing volley, and taps
9:00. Parade Assembly
Gather behind the East Boxford fire station and form into parade order. Coffee and doughnuts served.
9:30. Parade Starts
March to Village Cemetery, Veterans and Scouts decorate graves to musical accompaniment, prayer by Chaplain, firing volley, taps played. Parade reforms and marches to the James L. Melvin Green for the Memorial Day Ceremony.
